Joy Behar, one of the hosts of ABC's daytime show "The View," took to CNN's "Larry King Live" Tuesday night and delivered a new line of attack on Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin, the Governor of Alaska: Palin's “very mean” in how she treats wildlife because she hunts them and is opposed to putting polar bears on the endangered list.
(Didn't John Kerry go hunting during the 2004 campaign?) Behar, apparently quite serious since she insisted her concern was “an important point,” began the live interview:
“You know, the one thing that I don't think anybody's said yet is that she's very mean to animals, this woman. Why does she have it in for these poor polar bear and the caribou and she aerial kills wolves? That's a very mean thing to do. I think that that's an important point we should all be looking at.”Behar, the only guest in King's first segment titled “Joy's 'View' of Palin,” proceeded to cite how Palin “sued the Bush administration because they said that polar bears should be on the endangered species list,” charging that's “just because they would interfere with all this drilling that they want to do. I don't think that's very nice, do you?”
Audio: MP3 clip (32 seconds, 200 Kb). Video: watch flv file above, or download the wmv (2.2 Mb)
That part of her opening comment in full:
King, wisely, didn't answer. She sued the Bush administration because they said that polar bears should be on the endangered species list -- the one thing that I agree with the Bush administration about. And I mean it's just because they would interfere with all this drilling that they want to do. I don't think that's very nice, do you?
The 9PM EDT Larry King Live will re-run at midnight and 3 AM EDT overnight, that's 9 PM and midnight PDT, 8 PM and 11 PM in Alaska.
Check our “Joy Behar” tag for past instances of Behar's hostility on The View to conservatives, most often documented by the MRC's Justin McCarthy.

It is not only this comment, but she is routinely in the news for some remarkably incoherent statement or air-headedness. I can't imagine somebody who is not a singer or model being so successful in life as to be interviewed by Larry King.
... oh, wait... I guess I can.

Behar should be the next head on the trophy wall
September 9, 2008 - 23:38 ET by caiobabeAs much as I relish the new infusion of fresh political air with the introduction of hunter and gun enthusiast Gov. Sarah Palin, I have to say that I am completely dismayed by the good governer's inability to bag a fat "demcow". I believe they are legal to hunt mostly in red states but now crossing into open minded, and feminist offended blue states across America. These "demcow" beasts look like, talk like and act like Ms. Behar and have been known to graze nearby willing liberal news outlets, consuming vast amounts of American goodwill and deficating back to willing television viewers a vast amount of bias and negativity that would make anyone sick by the stench mostly eminating from the mouths of the "demcow".
I personally feel that Governer Sarah Palin should take a quick break from her good work as the vice president nominee and shoot one of these overly righteous and politically fat arrogant cows and place it's head upon her trophy wall.

September 9, 2008 - 23:38 ET by Mean Gene Dr. LoveShe says, "the poor polar bear..." I wonder how poor she'd feel the polar bears were if she got between a sow and her cubs.
That's very patronizing language towards the polar bears and their abilities to take care of themselves. Why isn't Joy Behar more sensitive to the way polar bears view themselves? I'd say Joy is mean to animals. And not just mean, but downright discriminating and speciesist (is that a word? I'm guessing it's the next logical step up from being racist).
I'm sure she's all for equal rights for animals...except of course when she's about to get mauled and eaten.
I'm just sayin'.
